Dozee bags Assocham 'Start-up of the Year 2019 Award'

Adding another feather on the cap, Made-in-India technology Dozee received the Tech Start-up of the Year 2019 Award at Assocham’s Emerging Digital Technologies Summit and Awards held in New Delhi on 31 October, 2019.

Speaking on the occasion, Mudit Dandwate, CEO & Co-founder Dozee said, “I am glad and humbled to have received this award. I take this opportunity to congratulate the entire Dozee team whose tireless efforts have made it possible. Also, I would like to thank Assocham for bestowing us with the honour. This award all the more inspires us to put in our best efforts every day and work towards our mission of ‘Simplifying Healthcare’.”

Dozee is a patented contact-free health monitor, invented by Mudit Dandwate and Gaurav Parchani, graduates from IIT. It is a thin sensor sheet which goes below the mattress and monitors heart health, respiration, sleep quality and stress levels with 98.4% accuracy as compared to medical devices. It’s AI-powered technology not only flags cases of health deterioration before they become serious but also provides personalized recommendations to improve health.

Dozee has saved 36 lives so far by alerting users about health deterioration and helping them detect Tuberculosis, Arrhythmia, Pneumonia, Pulmonary Edema, Cardiac arrest and underdiagnosed conditions such as Sleep Apnea.

The device is built specifically for home settings, requires no technical expertise to set up and provides an effective remote monitoring service that enables high-skilled medical staff to take decisions remotely.

Cancer Patients Get Meditation Session at HCG with Dozee

On the occasion of International Yoga Day, a Bengaluru based health-tech start-up Dozee, launched their Mindfulness feature and provided first-of-its-kind experience to Cancer patients at HCG – The Specialist in Cancer Care. Developed by IIT graduates, Dozee is a patented contact-free health monitor that tracks heartbeat, respiration, sleep and stress from under the mattress. Supported under Make in India campaign, Dozee’s launch of meditation feature on International Yoga Day is a powerful integration of two initiatives of the government.

The session was attended by 20 cancer patients and survivors from HCG. The session began with Dr. Raghavendra Rao (HoD CAM Program, HCG Oncology), talking on benefits of meditation and getting patients practise some yogic techniques. This was followed by 10 minutes of guided meditation, where patients followed the meditation instructions from Dozee app. Post the session, patients were provided with personalized report, quantifying the impact of the session on their heartbeat, respiration and stress levels.Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Neeraj, a cancer patient said “This was a really unique experience for us. I felt my stress levels came down significantly, and I could see the result of it on Dozee app as well. The whole meditation experience became very real for me”.

Dr. Raghavendra Rao said, “HCG has always believed in providing holistic care to all its patients and ensuring abetter quality of life. We have combined the ancient stress relieving techniques of Yoga with advanced medical care to help manage cancer better. This International Yoga Day, we decided to include Yoga as a part of its patients’ treatment plans. Starting with our flagship unit in Bengaluru, this program will be incorporated shortly in all of our 22 centres across India.”
