For the 6th time, MEDICA 2017 will see the world’s largest live competition for the best Health App Solution for use in the daily routine of a patient, a doctor or in the hospital – the MEDICA App COMPETITION 2017 – hosted in the 6th session of the MEDICA CONNECTED HEALTHCARE FORUM on on Wednesday, 15 November 2017.

From 15 May to 30 September 2017, developers from all over the world can submit their Health App Solution. These submissions will be pre-selected by a MEDICA Expert Team – a top-class jury (Pre-Screening Phase in week 40/2017; Online). Those 15 developers whose Health App Solutions match best the submission criteria based on the jury’s point of view, will qualify for the participation at the live pitch at MEDICA.

All Health App Solutions which are nominated for the live event will be notified beginning of October 2017 accordingly. The pitch itself happens live on stage of the MEDICA CONNCTED HEALTHCARE FORUM in hall 15, on Wednesday, 15 November from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm during MEDICA runtime including a Get-Together.

Each team has 3 minutes to pitch their Health App Solution. Another 2 minutes are reserved for the jury to place questions. After all 15 presentations the jury deliberates in the background. Finally the top 3 placements and the winner of the competition will be celebrated befittingly on site.

The most important reward certainly is the global awareness created at MEDICA as well as through MEDICA means. The best 3 teams will be offered photo and video interviews, which will be spread via all relevant media channels. In addition the solution ranked number 1 will be rewarded with EUR 2,000, the number 2 with EUR 1,000 and the number 3 with EUR 500. Finally our sponsors and media partners will grant again some incentives like gadgets, tickets or mentoring programs.
