Coronavirus advice for the public, by WHO

WHO’s (World Health Organisation’s) standard recommendations for the general public includes hand and respiratory hygiene and safe food practices. Some recommendations as part of the coronavirus advice is as follows..

  • Clean hands frequently with alcohol based hand rub, soap and water
  • Cover mouth with flexed elbow or tissue while coughing and sneezing to ensure that your hands do not get infected in the process. However, wash hands immediately and throw away the tissue.
  • Any symptom of fever, cough and breathing difficulty should immediately be reported to your doctor and seek medical care
  • Consumption of raw or uncooked animal products should be avoided
